Apple users: Changes to Kajabi mobile app

Recent improvements to the Kajabi mobile app

Kajabi is dedicated to delivering an extraordinary mobile experience for your members, which is why we recently introduced several new features:

  • The app now supports audio in the background. Users can swipe away from the app or lock the device and continue listening to the Kajabi course in the background.
  • The app now supports video casting to other devices like Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast.
  • Categories can now be expanded and collapsed, which makes it easier to navigate through your courses.
  • A new favorites tab lets users view all of their favorited posts.
  • The app is faster to load and provides a snappier user experience.

Changes to the Kajabi iOS mobile app

After several months of dialogue with Apple, we have been informed that we must adapt the iOS Kajabi mobile app to comply with Apple's terms of service.

After exploring all possible options to ensure we have the most minimal impact on user experience, and to adhere to Apple’s terms of service, changes have been made to the interactive features on the iOS Kajabi mobile app including community, post comments, and assessments.

While we are disappointed in this change, we want to assure you that we have done everything we can to minimize the number of features affected.

Here’s a summary of what you need to know about the recent changes:

  • The Android mobile app and web application are not impacted.
  • Your customers will still be able to consume courses on the app without these interactive features.

What do these changes look like?

Your customers will still be able to consume courses on the app without these interactive features. And they will be able to use the web browser of their iOS mobile device to access the full suite of features that are available in the web application.

When accessing an interactive feature in the iOS mobile app, you will simply be asked to continue the action in your mobile web browser, rather than in-app:

Despite this temporary setback, we will not stop innovating and looking for ways to improve the mobile app. Our dialogue with Apple is ongoing, and we will continue to update you on any developments.
